New Pathways Psychotherapy: Proudly Serving North San Diego
If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.
-Wayne Dyer
Hello and welcome – I am so glad you are here. If you have found this website, it’s because you have come to the brave decision to pursue therapy. Therapy can be many things – joyful, difficult, humorous, and awe-inspiring. It can involve dealing with some of the deepest, most painful parts of ourselves the parts that that keep hidden for fear of being consumed by them. Therapy can also be a time to learn and grow in ways we may have never anticipated.
At New Pathways Psychotherapy, my goal is to help each and every one of my patients discover and reconnect with themselves and to gain the skills and confidence to overcome the barriers in their way. I use an approach that is customized to the needs of each patient, with techniques from psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As I help you find your pathway, I hope that you feel empowered to help set the goals of treatment to ensure that your treatment is suitable and appropriate to your needs.
My ideal patient is someone who is curious about themself and is motivated to make changes in their life, which may entail brief assignments between sessions. The intention is to promote reflection and deeper engagement in the healing process. By integrating insight-oriented approaches and actionable steps the hope is that you become an active part of the therapeutic process.

HOW DOES THERAPY WORK?
